The Danish singer and songwriter Antophones AKA Lise Blaase is set to release her new album Coming Alive in Spring 2025. Produced and recorded over several years, the alternative pop album blends a collection of personal songs, atmospheric melodies, and bold, dynamic rhythms. Moving away from the earlier band setup, Coming Alive marks Antophones’ evolution into a solo project, brought to life through collaborations with different musicians and sound engineers.

Lise Blaase has written and produced all ten tracks, including the title track, alongside Kasper Rasmussen (Penny Police, Saybia, Dicte, Aura Dione, Annika Aakjær). She plays keys, while Rasmussen contributes on bass, guitar, and drums. The album also features contributions from string arranger Bjarke Falgren, drummer Stephan Grabowski, bassist Nikolaj Wolf, and cellist Line Felding.

Originally founded during Blaase’s student years, her band Antophones gained attention with the 2005 album Happy Failure, which earned a nomination for a special award honoring up-and-coming artists at the Danish Music Awards. After the band disbanded, Lise toured Europe with The Broken Beats and continued to write new songs, as well as mentoring young singers and teaching choirs.

After a long break from music, Antophones finally starts a new chapter with the album Coming Alive. Released independently, the album is accompanied by a series of art-driven videos.
