ABOUT

The Danish singer and songwriter Antophones AKA Lise Blaase released her second album, Coming Alive, on May 9 2025. Produced and recorded over several years, the alternative pop album blends a collection of personal songs, atmospheric melodies, and bold, dynamic rhythms. Moving away from the earlier band setup, Coming Alive marks Antophones’ evolution into a solo project, brought to life through collaborations with different musicians and sound engineers.
Lise Blaase wrote all ten tracks and co-produced much of the album alongside Kasper Rasmussen (Penny Police, Saybia, Dicte, Aura Dione, Annika Aakjær). She plays keys, while Rasmussen contributes on bass, guitar, and drums. The album also features contributions from string arranger Bjarke Falgren, drummer Stephan Grabowski, bassist Nikolaj Wolf, and cellist Line Felding.
Originally founded during Blaase’s student years, her band Antophones gained attention with the 2005 album Happy Failure, which earned a nomination for a special award honoring up-and-coming artists at the Danish Music Awards. After the band disbanded, Lise toured Europe with The Broken Beats and continued to write new songs, as well as mentoring young singers and teaching choirs.
After a long break from music, Antophones began a new chapter with the album Coming Alive. Released independently in 2025, the album was accompanied by a series of art-driven videos.
